In the Fall 1999 issue of
"Bear News," published by the Great Bear Foundation, IGBC's
grizzly bears conservation efforts are noted. Editor Dr. Charles
Jonkel commented that IGBC has been getting things done, especially
regarding road closures in critical grizzly areas, cleaning
up garbage situations in West Yellowstone and Cooke City with
good dumpsters and by installing backcountry bear-proof storage
boxes in campgrounds and outfitter camps.
